Florida Historic Capitol Museum – .4 miles away

Restored to its 1902 appearance, the Historic Capitol stands as an icon at the center of Florida’s Capitol complex.
Through photographs, recordings, and audiovisual displays, visitors experience the people and events that have shaped today’s Florida. Restored areas include the 1902 Governor’s office and chambers of the House of Representatives, Senate, and Supreme Court.
Union Bank Museum – .4 miles away
Located at 219 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32301
Built in 1841, the Union Bank is considered Florida’s oldest surviving bank building. Originally opened as a “planter’s bank” during the antebellum period, the building became home to the National Freedman’s Savings and Trust Company following Emancipation.

Riley House Museum – .4 miles away
Located at 419 E Jefferson St, Tallahassee, FL 32301
The Riley House was constructed circa 1890 on the fringe of a community called Smokey Hollow. Its owner was a former enslaved man, John Gilmore Riley, rose to prominence as an educator and civic leader. Riley began his first teaching job in 1877 at a school in Wakulla County. In 1892 he became principal of the Lincoln Academy where he served until his retirement in 1926.

Home to several generations of the Call and Collins families, most recently LeRoy and Mary Call Collins, the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The house and 10.5-acre grounds underwent an award-winning rehabilitation under the leadership of the Florida Department of State and opened to the public in 2017 as The Grove Museum.
