Dark Universe

Narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, Dark Universe brings audiences to the cutting edge of cosmic exploration to reveal the breakthroughs that have led astronomers to confront two great cosmic mysteries: dark matter and dark energy.

Based on authentic data from NASA and European Space Agency missions, ground-based telescopes, supercomputer simulations, and research conducted at institutions around the globe, Dark Universe covers a colossal topic: cosmology, the study of the universe. Dark Universe examines the last 100 years of discoveries, including the existence of multiple galaxies in the universe; that the universe is expanding from a hot, dense state; and that normal matter—the atoms that we are made of—is a tiny minority of the mass and energy in the cosmos.
