CLC2You On-Site Program (In Your Classroom)

Space Mission Simulations:

The mission simulations below are 1.5 hours, cost $300 and can accommodate a maximum of 18 students.

  • Destination Mars (Grades 5-6) – Coming Soon (Virtual, brick-and-mortar and hybrid models available)
  • Destination Moon (Grades 6-7) – Coming Soon (Virtual, brick-and-mortar and hybrid models available)

Dynamic Demos: 45-minute interactive demonstration; brick-and-mortar and hybrid options available; $75; transportation fees may apply for schools outside of Leon County.

  • Grades K-8 – General Science, Space Science or Force and Motion
  • Grades 4-8 – Energy

Science Learning Labs: 90-minute, or two 45-minute, interactive lab; virtual, brick-and-mortar and hybrid options available; $10/student with $150 minimum; transportation fees may apply for schools outside of Leon County.

  • Make Your Own Bernoulli Straw (Grades K-8):  Includes aerodynamics and Bernoulli principle demonstrations. Students construct a Bernoulli straw and conduct experiments, take it home.
  • Build Your Own Gyroscope (Grades 2-8): Includes force and motion demonstrations. Students build a gyroscope from a CD and 3D printed materials, conduct experiments, and take it home.
  • Build Your Own Catapult (Grades 3-8): Includes force and motion demonstrations. Students build a catapult, conduct experiments, and take it home.
  • Build Your Own Electromagnet (Grades 4-8): Includes electricity and magnetism demonstrations. Students build an electromagnet, conduct experiments, and take it home.
  • Build Your Own Electric Motor (Grades 6-12): Includes electromagnetic demonstrations. Students build an electric motor, do experiments, and take it home.

Adapted IMAX & Planetarium Learning Labs: 45-minute interactive lab; brick-and-mortar only; $3.75 per student, $100 minimum; transportation fees may apply for schools outside of Leon County.

  • Grades Pre-K-8. Topics include: space, weather, oceans and environment.
