Daily Motion
45 min | Educational Planetarium Show with Live NarrationFeaturing the Earth, Moon, and Sun, Daily Motion is a live, very interactive show made entirely by Fogg Planetarium staff. The show is all about answering the question “Why does the Sun move through the sky?” We’ll discuss what it means to have short and long days, why are there seasons, and why the moon has shadows. Daily Motion is designed to be suitable for all ages so the concepts are quite elementary. However, simple concepts leave lots of room for interactivity. We’ll do some clapping, pointing, shouting, and of course use our imaginations. I believe Daily Motion would be a great show for a field trip who may not have the budget for an explorers program but still want to get in some active learning. As with all our shows, we shoot for a 45 minute runtime, however Daily Motion can be shortened or lengthened based on a groups individual needs, no problem. One last thing, I feel it is important to advertise Daily Motion with the word interactive. To get the most out of this experience, it would be best if the audience came in ready to have some fun.
