Homeschool Days
The Challenger Learning Center offers hands-on STEAM programs for students participating in homeschool programs. Join us to learn new skills and discover new interests!
Homeschool Days registration is completed based on each student’s age. Ages 5-9* will be grouped together and ages 10-14* will be grouped together. *Age groups are subject to change based on enrollment.
COST: The cost is $40 per student per session. Students must be signed out before 12:15 pm to avoid a $1/minute late charge.
SCHEDULE: 9 am - 12 pm, dates listed below.

2026 Fall Schedule
September 18, 2026 - Robotics
Ages (5-9)
Campers will learn about robotics and apply what they have learned to various activities. Camp activities may include Ozobots, Spheros, and Cubetto.
Ages (10-14)
Students will explore the exciting world of robotics through hands-on activities and challenges. They’ll learn basic coding and robotics while working with robots such as Ozobots, Spheros, and Cubelets! Students will design Ozobot mazes using cones, explore relationships between time and speed with Spheros, and finally design with Cubelets to make noise, drive, and connect.
October 16,2026 - Astronaut Training
Ages (5-9)
Campers will learn about the training needed for space travel/work. Activities may include designing straw rockets, designing a space helmet, designing a mission patch, and building a rover.
Ages (10-14)
Students will participate in a series of hands-on challenges and experiments modelled on the HI-SEAS astronaut training program in Hawaii, where astronauts spend upwards of four months preparing for travel to and life on Mars. Delve into hydroponic gardening, robotics, magnetism, and the geology of Mars itself as part of our K-12 Quantum Initiative.
November 20, 2026 – Engineering
Campers will learn about and apply problem solving concepts as they are related to engineering to use these ideas in challenges presented to them. Activities may include building and testing bridges along with building and testing Lego cars.
Students will explore engineering and design through exciting hands-on challenges! Students will design, build, and test an egg-drop contraption, then build a magnetic roller coaster while experimenting with quantum forces, motion, and problem-solving.
