Second Saturday Space Mission Simulations

Think you have what it takes to be an astronaut? You can experience the next best thing to space travel at the Challenger Learning Center Space Mission Simulator – now open to the public. On the second Saturday of each month from 10am-12pm you will have the opportunity to be a part of a NASA mission to the moon, voyage to Mars or rendezvous with a comet. You’ll take on the role of a life support scientist, navigator, probe engineer, medic or communications specialist inside the mission control room and onboard the space station lab. Watch the VIP Space Mission simulation on our You Tube channel to see what it's like!
The next mission will blast off on Saturday, February 9. Astronauts must be at least nine (9) years old to participate, except for the Mininaut missions. Children younger than 9 accompanied by an adult may participate in the Mininaut missions (see below for schedule). The cost for your trip to outer space is $10 per-person for CLC members and $15 per-person for non-members.
These opportunities are first-come, first-serve and we only have room on board for the first thirty-two (32) astronauts who register. To guarantee your spot, you may register in advance by calling 645-7777 or complete the registration form then mail, fax or drop off the form. A minimum deposit of $5 per person is required for advance registration.

Participants in the program can purchase a Comet Special (Hot Dog, Chips & Small Fountain Drink) at the discounted rate of $5.50 following the mission.
