A Night of Mad Science

March 18: Robots - Experiment with robotic arms and LEGO robots, design and program a robot to dance and successfully complete tasks!
March 19: Flying Critters - Inspired by the NEW! IMAX documentary Flight of the Butterflies, opens Jan 18. Explore the world of flying creatures from birds to butterflies! Meet a bird of prey visitor from the St. Francis Wildlife rehabilitation center.
March 20: Space - Fly a mission in our Space Mission Simulator, see an "out of this world" planetarium show and learn about the universe! Participate in many fun hands-on activities about the solar system.
March 21: Energy - Explore the world of energy from electricity and light, to mechanial and chemical energy! See hair raising demonstrations with a Van de Graff generator.
March 22: Sea Camp - Make a Cartesian diver, explore how camouflage is used by animals in the sea, see Deep Sea 3D in the IMAX theatre and much more!
March 25: Super Science - Take on kitchen and health sciences! Create chemical reactions with everyday items found in the kitchen! Explore your senses, test your lung volume, and discover your dominant side.

STEM Open House
Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Challenger Learning Center (CLC) and the importance of our STEM mission, the CLC is hosting a community wide open house to showcase the best in STEM education that our community has to offer. “STEMming is FUN!”
The event will be FREE and feature admission to our IMAX films, Digital Dome planetarium shows, Space Mission Simulator tours and ongoing science, technology, engineering and mathematics demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Scouting Merit Badges
The programs are only $20 per boy scout, $15 for all other scouts and fulfill all of the requirements for the merit badge indicated. One parent per paying Scout and troop leaders are admitted free of charge.

Free "Sky Guy" Planetarium Show
Come down to the Downtown Digital Dome Theatre and Planetarium and enjoy a free planetarium show on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00am. This planetarium show is presented by the Tallahassee Astronomical Society and coordinated with the monthly Democrat "Sky Guy" column. The Monthly sky over Tallahassee will be reviewed including prominent constellations, stars and planets. Stay for the 11am show and receive 1/2 off your admission. Saturday Public Mission
Think you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Have you always wanted to go to the Moon, Mars or beyond? You can experience the next best thing to space travel at the Challenger Learning Center Space Mission Simulator. On the second Saturday of each month from 10am-12pm you will have the opportunity to be a part of a NASA mission.
